South Florida Roofing Expertise
South Florida is in the High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) — the most stringent roofing code jurisdiction in the United States. Miami-Dade and Broward county require roofing systems that meet specific wind-uplift resistance ratings. Not every roofer is certified to work here.
We're licensed, insured, and fully certified for HVHZ installations. Every system we install carries a Miami-Dade Product Approval (NOA) and meets current Florida Building Code. We also work directly with your insurance adjuster on storm damage claims — at no additional charge.
Every Roof Type, Hurricane Rated
We install and repair every major roofing system used in South Florida — all to current Miami-Dade Product Approval standards.

Does my homeowner's insurance cover a new roof in South Florida?
It depends on the cause of damage. Hurricane and wind/hail damage is typically covered. Roofs over 15–20 years old may only receive actual cash value (depreciated value) rather than replacement cost — this varies by policy. We help you understand your coverage and advocate with your adjuster to document the full scope of damage.
What is HVHZ and why does it matter?
HVHZ stands for High Velocity Hurricane Zone — it covers Miami-Dade and Broward counties and has the most stringent roofing codes in the US. Only roofing systems with a valid Miami-Dade Product Approval (NOA) can be installed legally. Contractors who aren't HVHZ certified can't legally install roofs in these counties — and improper installations void insurance coverage.
How long does a roof replacement take in South Florida?
Most residential roof replacements take 1–3 days of active installation. Tile roofs on larger homes may take 3–5 days. The permit process typically takes 1–3 weeks from application to approval, and the county final inspection takes 1–5 business days after installation. We factor all of this into your project timeline upfront.
When should I replace vs. repair my roof?
Generally: if your roof is under 10 years old and has isolated damage, repair makes sense. If it's 15+ years old and showing widespread issues (multiple leaks, granule loss, cracked tile), replacement is usually more cost-effective. We'll give you an honest assessment with documented photos — not a sales pitch for an unnecessary replacement.
Can I get a roof permit in my name as a homeowner?
Technically yes — Florida has an "owner-builder" exemption. However, this is strongly discouraged because owner-builder permits may not be covered by your homeowner's insurance and can create significant problems when you sell. We handle the permit in our license as your contractor, ensuring full legal compliance and insurance coverage.
